While Riovol on their new disc "digital audio bossa" are squeezing Samba and Bossa Nova rhythms through the "Funk-Jazz-Electrifyer", are laying down seductive voices over pulsating beats and fat bass-lines, are chasing lovely flute melodies with cool rhodes-chords, you´re trying to find in vain a name that fits their style. But when to play his sound is easy to know for Norbert Küpper, the composer and producer of "Riovolt": "this record is perfect for dancing, lounging, clubbing or simply sitting on our sofa getting high by good music".

The first tracks of "digital audio bossa" were recorded in Rio de Janeiro, where Norbert aka Nobit lived for several years. Diving deep into Brasilian music, he played in all kinds of bands and produced a wide variety of artists in his studio.

With his new project "Riovolt", Nobit breaks borders with stilisic originality, in tune with the current latino-hype and at the same time a step ahead of current trends.

The album also includes an uplifting cover version of the classic ‘O Ronco da Cuíca’, a João Bosco composition sung here by guest vocalist Lilian Vieira from Zuco 103.

Riovolt "live" is an unforgetable experience:
five excellent musicians, perfectly performing with virtuosity, groove, hot solos and cool vibes. the centre of attention on stage is the Brasilian singer and piano player Jú Cassou, who enchants the audience with her voice and charme. Next to her Nobit, using fat electronic beats and hypnotic acoustic percussion to make the crowd dance. The two are beeing backed up by the Brasilian saxophone player Marcio Tubino, Christian Gall on Keyboards and Matthias Engelhardt on bass.
