UFFIE (Ed Banger Records)

A 19 year-old Floridian rap siren taking up residence in Europe’s most beautiful city was always likely to ruffle a few Parisian feathers. When local electronique hero Mr Oizo heard Uffie’s breathy Lolita flow and witnessed first hand her insane delivery it was a no-brainer of a match up – the kind of chance encounter from which magic was always likely to emerge.

Although a total newcomer to the game – a mere ten months ago dreams of becoming a fashion designer of ballerina were far more pressing – Ed Banger’s own DJ Feadz convinced Uffie to rhyme over his beats and ‘Pop The Glock’ - the doper than dope B Side to debut single ‘Ready To Uff’ – was born. As a follow up to the demented electro-rap of that underground summer smash ‘Ready To Uff’, celebration of 80s synth bass and smut that will have you humming ‘I’m a hot chick’ regardless of your gender.
