Henry Storch founded Unique in ’88 as Freestyle Label and Party Organisation. He used to be the Tour DJ of Corduroy and the Nighttrains and opened his own Club (The Unique Club) in Düsseldorf/Germany. The Unique Club is one german’s most important Leftfield Places; with Resident Dj’s like Gunar Ruschak, Frank Popp, Philipp Maiburg (Phoneheads), Malente…… Guests from all over the world joined the Unique allready; Howie B, Richtie Hawtin, Keb Darge, JTQ, Ben Human, Aim, Kemistry Storm, Trüby, Ashley Beedle…
After working with london’s Acid Jazz Records, Label Boss, Eddie Piller, Henry relaunched the Label with new Partner Tino Stoschek in ’98. Henry and Tino Compiled the super selling Sampler “The New Testament of Funk”. Also in ’98 Henry started with Jürgen Dahmen, Jem Seifert, Tino Stoschek and Dave Anderson the Projekt “Metrophonics”. Their 12 Single Latin Racer feat. Mel Collins was noted in all important Playlists, and taken on many Compilations worlwide. Metrophonics produced Remixes for: Luke Vibert, High Fidelity, PPO, A.T., Charles Wilp…The first Metrophonics Album will be released in early 2003!

The Style is free! That’s how he is performing! From Raw Deep Funk-Latin Jazz – Breakbeat – Drum´n Bass addicted Jazz to Nujazz. Henry Storch runs Fridays the legendary Contemporary Unique Club Night since ’92 in Düsseldorf with new Breakbeat Soul and is also doin’ Saturdays the Rare and Oblique Nights with Thomas Hermanns, that’s one of the best Rare Groove Nighter In Europe!!! Just Seven Inch Funk and Latin Beats.
